I offer counselling and psychotherapy in person and virtual in Georgetown, Ontario for those experiencing trauma, attachment and relational healing, grief, bereavement, and change. I am able to support complex, traumatic, and anticipatory grief, help with coping with medical diagnosis and illness and work with traumatic stress from caregiving of those with medical diganosis or palliatve care needs.
I am trained in integrative therapy for relational and attachment trauma as well as for birth and reproductive trauma and work with a relational approach to healing from, rather than just coping with, with the effects of chronic and complex traumatic experiences.
Having worked in healthcare through the pandemic, I have a specific understanding of the experience of frontline workers during this unique time and can also offer processing of traumatic stress from frontline work.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for a variety of presenting issues for gifted and creative and 2e adults (and older youth) with the understanding of how giftedness and neurodiverstiy weaves into the human experience. Included in this is an understanding of supporting parents of gifted kids in navigating the needs of their unique parenting experience.
This work often involves some symptom management and psychoeducation to help with coping and to build a platform for going deeper, beyond coping, into the root of the issue to find resolution and healing, all while taking into consideration the complexity of the gifted/2e/creative mind and spirit. My approach is to work from a trauma and grief-informed, and neurodiversity affirming perspective with awareness of individual life circumstances, and I value the importance of meeting people where they are at.
All appointments are virtual, serving adults and
youth 16+
